New Banner Poster for Transformers: Dark of the Moon Offers First Look at Shockwave

The first of three new banner posters for director Michael Bay's third movie adaptation of Hasbro's popular Transformers toy line, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, was released last week, revealing the new look of Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen), leader of the righteous Autobots. The second and third new banner posters were released simultaneously this week, showing the updated, "more mature" look of Bumblebee and revealing for the first time a new evil Decepticon called Shockwave who transforms into a tank.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon was written by Ehren Kruger and follows the Autobots to the moon, where the Decepticons are planning to launch an attack on Earth from their secret base. The cast includes Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, John Malkovich, Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk, John Turturro, Academy Award-winner Frances McDormand and Leonard Nimoy as the voice of new Autobot Sentinel Prime.
